I know some people like really bright lightsabers. I do too. This is not the very bright but it has a really cool dark look. I own many lightsabers. I own the Count Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi from Revenge of the Sith, Anakin changing blade, Yoda jedi traing, and Luke Skywalker. I have experience and this thing feels so strong it feels like it will never break. I advise to buy this.

Don't get me wrong, it is a fun toy. However, when reading the previous reviews I was expecting something different. The biggest disappointment is that the light saber will not lock close and does not have a hook to attach to ones belt or waistband. This means that you can't carry it around between battles. Also, from some of the descriptions I thought that the light saber would actually change colour. It does not. It just lights up but the light is very poor and is only really effective in a dark environment. The sound effects are great though.

Great Lightsaber! Jan 11, 2006
The Mace Windu lightsaber has a couple of flaws. First of all, it is ACTUALLY Eeth Koth's lightsaber, and not Mace Windu's real cool one. Secondly, it is a little bit big for smaller kids. Finally, the dimness factor is a huge issue. Compared to Anakin's and Obi-Wan's this lightsaber isn't as bright. It has pros, too. It is VERY durable, and the sound effects are decent. Overall, I give this lightsaber 3 stars.

OK....so I bought this saber and was (just like the rest of ya'll) dissappointed by the glow of the sword! There was NOTHING. Seriously, compared to the Obi-won sword, you could barely see it. My wife hated it. (it's her sword....she wanted her own "unique" color) The blue LED in the Obi blade gives it color and brightness.....this weak flashlight bulb was lame. But...not willling to quit, I did some shopping for bulb upgrades and found a white LED flashlight bulb upgrade that works(by the way they did't make a purple LED bulb). Now the blade was too bright(pretty much white....which could be thought of as an improvement), so I put some purple transparent plastic(Dora the explorer purse $1, - 4 layers) over the light to dull the strength and give it a more purple glow. I know this is a long explaination, but my blade is now PIMP!!! Knowledge is power. This is a must have blade, so make it look as cool in the dark as it is in the light!

This is the lightsaber that I would buy my child.However,it does have a few problems.The lightsaber is a little large for the tikes.Plus,the lightsaber doesn't have a clip to stay on a person's clothing.Nor does the lightsaber go all the way in to the handle.The lightsaber requires four AA battries and it quite difficult to put them in.The lightsaber does have benefits.The lightsaber has pretty cool sound FX and moving it actully makes it sound like a real lightsaber moving.Hitting something makes it clash.The light that it gives of is bright and very enjoyable.This toy is also longer than most other lightsabers and one of the only to give off sound FX and light.Its pretty strong,but a few hard hits and it will get pretty messed up.All and all this lightsaber is good but not great.
