not the best, but they are fun Jan 07, 2006 Okay sure these toys aren't the best but they are fun and are not that easy to break. They are really fun just to look at and play around with in the car or at home. I really don't understand why all of these other people gave it a bad reviewthey may not be duluxe like all of the other things out there but they are fun just fiddle around with them. Despite the lack of detail and size I highly reccomend these!

Very cheaply made, but fairly interesting to look at Nov 30, 2005 I bought this toy pack today for my sons for Christmas and to put in their advent calendar, which holds small toys. I have mixed feelings about it. I took the toys out, to put them in the calendar, and just in the process of doing that, broke the wings off the bird and bent several of the weapons. That was with careful removing and not even the kind of playing you would expect them to get! The wings did pop back on, but the weapons don't look too good! However, I found the toys fairly nice to look at. The White Witch looked as I would expect her to (having read the books many times but not of course seen the movie yet, as it isn't out yet!) and Edmund looked fairly accurate. I liked the wolf, although it didn't have a lot of action to it, but it was solid and looked fierce. Aslan didn't look as you would picture him, but of course that would be pretty hard for any toy to do. I wish he looked more majestic and less like a regular fierce lion.
Overall I guess these toys are not terrible---I am glad they exist and I think my sons will enjoy them, but they certainly could have been better done.

Very disappointing and cheap looking Nov 05, 2005 Went to the store to look at these items today; glad we did.
Family and I LOVED the Narnia stories and are looking forward to the movie. Decided to check out the toys and were pretty disappointed... The figures look very cheap. (And they aren't cheap in price by any stretch.) Even compared to most kids toys out there today. They really reminded me of the plastic farm animals and soldier toys of MY childhood. Even the toys for very small children (such as Fisher Price imaginex, for instance) have more color, detail and character.
The human figures look very childishly done with big cartoony faces and more serious looking armor and bodies, and most of the animals look, as I said, just like old plastic farm animals. The wolf, for instance, is a non-posable, unattractive lump of plastic. The articulation on some figures, like Aslan the lion, make them look silly.
With all the great figure toys out there for kids of all ages, these were a big disappointment, and we did not end up purchasing.
A very unappealing bunch of toys. Especially from such a hyped movie release!
