Not what expected Jan 09, 2007
By Pamela S. Earls
"SCPEARLS"
This car can drive the calmist mother to insanity. The amount of noise created is unbelievable and unneccesary. The remote if you can call it that has a wire that comes out of it that is NOT recommended for any child under the age of 8. When I purchased this item for my four year old, I was expecting him to be able to hit forward, backwards, left, right. The car is constantly in motion always going backwards and to the left. You hit the one button on the "remote" and it drives the car forward. My boys do not enjoy playing with this except to watch it go around and around backwards and driving mom crazy. The batteries are also easily accesible with nothing there to stop a 2 year old from taking them out and trying to eat them. Needless to say, the cars now have no batteries and my sons' arms move the cars much better than the batteries and "remote" ever could.

Cute, but annoying! Jan 09, 2007
By joan_smiths The kids will like this talking car, but it tends to speak with the least touch. It gets old in a hurry for adults.

"Mater Review" Jan 09, 2007
By Sundance
"Sundance"
I purchased the "Tow-Mater" and "Lightning McQueen" for my seven year old grandson for Christmas. I don't know who enjoyed it more, my grandson or my son-in-law! The only problem we found that the control for the "Tow-Mater" would also control the "Lightning McQueen" car. Which my son-in-law found amusing, but my grandson found frustrating, because Dad was controling his car too! These cars are definitely fast action. It might be hard for younger children to control the cars. I will definitely add more of the "Cars" radio controlled vehicles to my grandson's, (& son-in-law's) collection.

quality for it's value Jan 09, 2007
By Karen Walles my little one was so excited to see he got his favorite tow truck - Mater...but was quickly discouraged at how dificult it was to "drive" Mater with the control (Mater did not go where he wanted it to go)
